Living Room or Dining Room Rugs - Modern and Classic Designs

Living room rugs are authentic handmade rugs that belong to different collections and follow the modern colour trends having the ability to harmonize in any space and match in any style of decoration, being a safe and trouble-free decorative choice that satisfy everyone's personal desires. Living room rugs are creating a complex sense of luxury and hospitality in every house.

Depending on the origin, the colour palette may contain shades of red-blue and different shades of green, salmon grey as well as earthy beige colours with gold. Others can be monochrome or with simple designs and simple lines with creations that reflect the modern tastes of the people of the East and following the traditional ways of production to reveal a culture related to the western culture. In contrast, their designs consist of imposing pendants, flower representations or various design compositions.

Living room rugs are made on vertical looms by experienced craftsmen with excellent quality natural materials such as wool, cotton and silk. The impressive end result reveals hidden stories and ancient traditions of thousands of years that are passed down from generation to generation.

The living room rugs that are intended for decorating the sofas, whether they are classic rugs or modern, are usually of medium dimensions as they are placed in the empty space between the couch and the coffee table.

Usually, the dimensions are determined by the room's furniture. If we have two corner sofas, a 3-seater and 2-seater for example, we're putting a rug to cover the empty surface in front of them.

Indicatively a rug with these dimensions: 170x240 or 200x 250. It is not necessary to go under the sofas. It is purely your choice. There is no right or wrong on this.

The carpets intended for the dining room are more extensive as they must also cover the chairs that are located around the perimeter of the table. The table determines the dimensions of the rug for the dining room.

As a general rule, we match the carpet to be about 50 cm larger around the perimeter of the table. That said if we have a table 100x200 we can put a rug with dimensions 200x300.
