This is an authentic Handmade Tibetan rug from JAN KATH’s international collection. Two separate rugs coexist in an innovated handmade rug design.
In some of the designer’s collections, we see the second rug of a different culture and style being “born” through this existing rug. Almost parthenogenesis, one might say. This handmade rug has an embossed double-pile unique feature that excites.
For JAN KATH rugs, Tibetan mountain-wool is used; the best quality wool that is being spun by hand and dyed with eco-friendly vegetable dyes. In combination with the wool fabric, natural silk is used to create an attractive shine that gives an exceptional end result. Through the magenta shade of the rug’s base, a neoclassical carpet emerges with a rich design that fascinates. The raw materials, in combination with the traditional handmade weaving techniques, provide each JAN KATH’s rug with its unique character.
With wool and silk yarns available in a 1200 colour palette, JAN KATH’s rugs can be created according to each individual need in terms of size and materials while their designing can be combined with other rugs to create a genuinely unique product.
